Bringing Back Childhood Memories......

I couldn't pass up these pictures. Watching all of the children play in the creek brought back memories of when I was a child living with my grandma and we went to play in the creek all the time. I loved it. Notice how Logan is holding up his shorts so that they don't get wet! Ha! I love it~

Heave Ho, Heave Ho

I think that we can definitely understand now how the pioneers felt on their trek! I think that it was a lot harder than I had expected. There were muddy hills and steep hills. We actually had two handcarts, but we had to help each other up the hills one cart at a time. I am really glad that I went! The weather was perfect, nice breeze and cool at night! I felt bad because there wasn't much that I could do to help out with the pushing and pulling of the handcarts because I was pregnant.

Hand Cart Treking......

Finally the rain stopped and we were able to go on our 1 mile trek. That is right, I did it 7 1/2 months pregnant~ It was a lot of fun, along the hike, there were stories of the people and the experiences that they had along the trail. It was very touching to hear the stories of the pioneers and to even try to experience what it was like for ourselves to push the handcarts along the trails. The spirit was very strong as we read the stories. Thanks Fenbergs and Spriggs' for inviting us!

Happy Trails To You

We had planned to go on a hand cart trek on this particular morning, but it ended up raining so all of us decided to go on a wagon ride to wait out the rain. If you look closely at Logan, you can see that it was a relaxing ride. Apparently he was tired. Hee, Hee!

Who's Child is This?

I know that this isn't my child, but this little girl is so cute that I couldn't resist putting her on here. This is our friends little girl Addy! Isn't she so cute? Those blue eyes are killer!

On Our Way......

Some very dear friends of ours are moving at the end of the month and they invited people from the ward to go camping with them in Nauvoo for the last time. So we hopped on the train and went. Well, hopped in our van! My mom and dad were kind enough to watch our two youngest for us so that we could get some alone time with Allyson and Logan. Thanks mom and dad!!!!!
